@tomparsonsart love it! The architecture and color is so spot on! The dog steals the show for me. It's face and wagging tale said it all!
-
-
@patricialamas Those are so cute!
-
@tomparsonsart This is just beautiful! Top to bottom!
-
@Jeremiahbrown I love your take on Pinocchio! Definitely a version I've never seen before.
-
-
@Jeremiahbrown this really makes me want to cling to the bean stalk with that depth. It triggers my fear of heights.
-
@Jeremiahbrown Aaahh! My toes are tingling (they always do that when I'm looking down from something high lol). Great job with this perspective!

I've been doing the Imagined illustrated cover challenge this week, and it's been great fun. Here are the two covers I made thus far.

@Asyas_illos Oh no! Haha—I can see exactly what the story is right off the bat! That’s so funny… and sad.

It’s been a while since I’ve really tried something with traditional media. This is my third try on this piece, and I have to admit, it’s still not what I want it to be. I feel like both the values and the control of texture just aren’t there yet. I’m debating whether or not to try one more time or just call it good with this one. There are a couple “happy little accidents” that I do like in this.
-
@Sarah-VanDam I’ve made up my mind—I’m definitely trying AT LEAST one more time

I have a friend who owns a little herd of alpacas and knits lovely things with wool. Using that as inspiration, I'm working on some 12 days of Christmas pics...This is where I'm as so far:
On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Four woolen mitts
Three baby knits,
Two fuzzy socks, and
A fluffy little blue Toque.I was going to have them on their own with the knitted items, because the oddity of it made me giggle. But then for kidlit art portfolioness, I decided to throw a little friend in there. And I'm glad I did.

Working on a practice book dummy to turn in for advice to an Art Director through my local SCBWI chapter. This is one of two full-color double-page spreads.
My friend wrote a rhyming story about Lulu, who one day dons a choo choo train muumuu over her tutu to hide a booboo. She's a little ewe lamb. And these animals are gnus, emus, cockatoos, jinkapous, kangaroos, and shrews. I used a caribou on another page.
And my brain hurts.

Wow! Cool! Asya hello and I'm always impressed with artists who have the ability to produce so much work and stay on top of posts. Looking forward to 2023! Thank you for stepping up
Thank you Lisa for your contribution thus far and good luck to you in your comic ventures!
Happy creating!

@Cayleen Cool! What program do you do that in?
