My first ever entry for Critique Arena! Whew.
I developed this one digitally for quite awhile (thanks for the feedback!), but after struggling with it for awhile, I started over in analog mediums (watercolor, gouache, colored pencil) and added finishing "polish" digitally. What a learning experience!

Motivated by a Special Olympics image I saw while searching for inspiration. Admittedly, a dangerous topic to take on, but hopefully it reads in a positive way and does not come across as offensive (the characters are based on images from Special Olympics events that were a joy to see).
