Our SVS Virtual Studio MARCH AND APRIL 2022
-
@demotlj Love your sketch work!
-
@kylebeaudette oh my god, its so ugly but well done:
-
@AngelinaKizz it's plumbing putty, then 3 baked layers of clay.
-
All done this little Boggart. It died in the wall and is mounted with its possessions

I am finishing up my first ever university class tonight, and the assignment was to create a piece of 3D art. With this assignment, I tried to incorporate drawing and illustration into 3D, and now I’m totally inspired to see what else I can take 3D. Im imagining portraits and illustrated character scenes and I can’t wait to try more. This piece was painted with standard acrylic paint (I didn’t want to splurge on glass paint if it didn’t work out) and 5 dollar store picture frame glass.
-
@AngelinaKizz very cool!
-
@kylebeaudette mummified!
-
This team's goal is to improve twitter 3000% one phone at a time.
-
@KatrinaF What program are you using?
-
isn't there an official April Virtual Studio or did i just not find it?
-
That feeling when you are enjoying a lovely breakfast and you realize that you never created an April thread for the Virtual Studio. YIKES!
Since we have been posting April in this March thread, I edited the name and we should just continue as if that was what I fully intended to do in the first place. Hee hee.

@burvantill Currently I use Clip Studio Paint. It's the BOMB! When I found it I was like 'Where have you been all my life?' and sometimes Procreate for quick sketching.
I feel like I've used them all at some point in my life - Memory lane:
Adobe Elements
Flash MX
Adobe Photoshop
Illustrator
Maya - for 3D rigging and animation
After Effects
KritaLet's not forget all my fine art training:
Oils
Acrylic
Encaustic (Oils mixed with hot wax)
Watercolor
Etching
Inking
PastelsTMI I know. I'm procrastinating from working on Eps 3 of my comic. Ugh!
-
@Jeremiahbrown So cute! Can they make me get more twitter followers? LOL
-
@burvantill I'm glad you just forgot. I was wondering when we should start worrying if something had happened to you. Glad it was just a memory lapse, something I am way too familiar with
-
I printed off one of my paintings onto card stock today and am really happy with it. It's nice to know my art can have some use even if it's just to send notes to friends.
-
@burvantill but please please still enjoy ur breakfast! It's the best meal of the day! And maybe it was all part of the aprilsfool
I wanted to share my Whales with you guys though
-
I guess I'm working my way out of my slump because I'm reworking my business logo. Not sure about the font yet, and I think I'll make this more illustrative and less vector, but I'm pleased with the direction I'm going!
-
Few sketches I did trying out a toned paper sketchbook, which is a somewhat new departure for me, so we'll see how it goes.
-
@Blitz55 Er My Ga! So creepy! love it! Great sketching!
-
Okay after much procrastination I did get 'something' done. Most likely need to look at it with new eyes in the morning but I at least I earned some dinner and a drink.
