JUNE CONTEST: A very different kind of prompt!
-
@miranda-hoover Thanks! Yes, that's my favorite part. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, that my favorite part is such a teeny tiny detail. It would be better if the larger action was what I liked best, but I'll consider that for the next piece:)

Hi Everyone!
Here's my June Contest entry. I chose to go with the opening scene where Bongo is just waking up!
-
Hello there I am new on svslearn. I'm looking forward to taking some courses, level up and participate in challenges
See there are many amazing and creative artworks for the month of June, many Bongo's and Clyde's I think Bongo is in som serious monkey-problems this month
Hope my Clyde isn't too scary for a children's book illustration![alt text]( image url)

@Johanna-Kim That's a good point. But there is also something very charming about subtle background elements that steal your heart
-
@miranda-hoover hi, thanks Miranda. Actually, it is a wonderful idea. May be I can make 2 more images- for the main story parts.
-
Here’s my entry for this months contest. I never do landscapes so I hope this looks decent!
-
So lovely to see everyone's take on the same story!
Here's my entry.

@Ryan-Ehr Such a cool style and very funny image! Nicely done.
-
@Brad-Newman Thanks a ton, bro!
-
@Brad-Newman Check out that dynamic pose! What a cheeky monkey. You did a great job of capturing the nature of the characters. Great use of color, too.
-
@Bricz-Art GREAT color and light! This image is very readable and inviting. I can’t scroll past it without taking a sec to drink it in. It makes me want to know more about what is going on.
-
@jdubz FANTASTIC use of lighting! The dramatic sun rays helps draw the eye right where it needs to go. Also, your use of contrast with dark foreground and light background helps frame the image well and conveys depth. Good work!

@Jordi-Ventura I love this so much. You did a great job of creating a nice graphical representation of the main elements of the story without “over illustrating”. Beautiful colors!
