First real Post, and First Postcard design
-
Hello, my name is Chloe Burgett!! I'm looking for some feedback on my first postcard design.
I'm looking for picture book work.
Does it need to have more info on the back of the card? It seems apparent that I'm an illustrator/artist, and I really just want them to visit my site. I'm not published yet, though I've illustrated 5 educational books that were all over 32 pages.Thanks for y'all's time!!

@ChloeB-artistry Hi there... Being a relative newbie around these parts myself, I don't have much art criticism to offer, but wanted to extend a friendly hello, and say that your postcard and the artwork on your website is quite beautiful!
Cheerio!

@Casual-T Wow, thanks very much!!

@ChloeB-artistry This is a beautiful illustration! Coincidentally, I have also been doing some research on postcard mailers so maybe I can help.
My main feedback is on the format of the backside of the postcard.

Try typing your address in one line and your email below it instead of side-by-side. It should make everything easier to read.

If you're planning to use USPS, you'll need to be aware of their space requirements for barcodes etc. at the bottom.
You can read more about it here: http://jenbetton.blogspot.com/2013/08/self-promotion-part-2-format-postcards.html
Good luck!

@ChloeB-artistry hi! My main concern is with your website domain. Perhaps consider something shorter, simpler, and easy to remember. Maybe Chloe-Art.com or CholeB.com. I hope this is helpful.

@Neha-Rawat PERFECT. Thanks a ton. Formatting that kind of stuff leaves me stumped sometimes.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz Thanks for the feedback!! Chloe B Artistry is my brand and my trade name (DBA) so I'm sticking with it for a while. The domain does feel like an afterthought stuck up there in the corner so I'm considering repeating my handwritten name there with the domain smaller underneath it.
Anyway, thanks again!
