Nice job, all! I had fun creating a story around this simple prompt.
Good luck to everyone!

I'm aspiring picture book illustrator living and working in the US midwest with Seth and our orange cat, Pencil.
I've illustrated 6 educational picture books all over 32 pages. My dream agency is Bright Agency! My dream publisher is Flying Eye Books!
I'm interested in nature-based stories with strong child protagonists that reveal something magical and extraordinary about the world.

My SVS membership is through my personal email, and my forum name is with my business email - I hope that's alright!
My first time entering. Good luck all! -
RE: JUNE CONTEST: A very different kind of prompt!
I wan't going to enter because I thought I didn't like drawing monkeys - but then I looked up the Golden Snub-nosed monkey and got inspired. Great images, all! -
First real Post, and First Postcard design
Hello, my name is Chloe Burgett!! I'm looking for some feedback on my first postcard design.
I'm looking for picture book work.
Does it need to have more info on the back of the card? It seems apparent that I'm an illustrator/artist, and I really just want them to visit my site. I'm not published yet, though I've illustrated 5 educational books that were all over 32 pages. Thanks for y'all's time!!

Feedback on Black and White sketches for MG/YA
This is new territory for my portfolio, I appreciate any feedback y'all have time for.
I want a few sweet illustrations that show how I'd handle b&W work. I want to show characters/emotion/and an environment.I'm also wondering if mockups of the images on the pages of a book is helpful to upload to my site, or if I should just keep it images-only? (once I complete them)
THANKS to anyone who takes the time!

@Nyrryl-Cadiz Thanks for the feedback - I'll definitely try one with lines instead of text to see how it looks!

@Jade-Vaughan Thanks!! I'm curious about the paperclip too - I may have to create some sort of follow-up scene to find out.

@idid Thanks, yes, great point.
I feel like it works best if it's in a mockup-verison - like photoshoped into an open book. Just as this flat image with text like this isn't really speaking to me?

RE: First real Post, and First Postcard design
@Nyrryl-Cadiz Thanks for the feedback!! Chloe B Artistry is my brand and my trade name (DBA) so I'm sticking with it for a while. The domain does feel like an afterthought stuck up there in the corner so I'm considering repeating my handwritten name there with the domain smaller underneath it.
Anyway, thanks again! -

@Neha-Rawat PERFECT. Thanks a ton. Formatting that kind of stuff leaves me stumped sometimes.
