Happy New Year from NY! First Post from a new member :)

  • Hey everyone,

    Nice to meet you all!
My name is Suji, an illustrator based in NY&NJ.
Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am pretty new here, just joined in December.
My sister is a vet, and I love to draw animals. I've been posting art on instagram but recently, I decided to finally focus on
    learning the art of storytelling.

I went to Parsons but the school did not teach me as much storytelling skills as I hoped for.
After graduation, I always missed the classroom setting, group support, and feedback from fellow students.
So finding this forum felt like a surprise gift for me!

Here is a small illustration, I wish everyone an awesome new year (and a new decade) filled with more success than ever.

P.S. If you have an instagram account, please let me know! I will add you 🙂

  • The illustration is absolutely adorable ☺
Really like this rough, textury feeling. Kinda fits my current taste 😄

I guess I am the first one to welcome you here, so...WELCOME!
I've been on couple of forums and SVS is the only one I stayed. Never seen a friendlier environment, really. You're gonna love it here.

  • @IgorWoznicki Thank you for the welcome, Igor!! 😄
I do try to keep texture to the final image, I think it adds more interest.
I have a feeling that this forum is friendly indeed, based on your warm welcome 🙂
