Monster Surfer - WIP

Grinding away at making new content for my portfolio and thought one of my 10 min scribbles might be fun to explore. I took the concept of the surfer riding some sea creature and rode with that. Here are the steps I took to get a good foundation to paint on but will be open to adjustments as I start coloring. I don't want to be locked in by my sketch but want to try be a little more free as I was somewhat with the sand shark piece

Not 100% sure where to go with the color scheme for this piece. I want to try something a little different and avoid blue for water if possible. It's still early days but i'm feeling the one on the left may be the one to go for or maybe the middle one, any thoughts?

@Gary-Wilkinson i really like the one on the right. I just love the colors but the one on the left is also great too. You make such great color combinations.

Decided to choose to do the purple color scheme as it's not something I have much of in my portfolio. Laid down the flat colors and worked a bit on the monster creature, Still early stages, but if there is anything to suggest before I move on im all ears
