WIP summer vacation pick one

which idea do you like best?
1: boat somehow caught on fire, teenager acting teenish, little brother takes advantage and toasts his s’more
2: kids buried dad in the sand too close to the waves
3: mom gets home from grocery shopping to find her house in a wreck with some spectacular fort building.

Sorry I don’t know why the quality is so bad but if you click on the picture it is better

@holleywilliamson It’s hard to choose. I like them all. I’m going to say one...because I love the teen and young child. Little kid loves life and happy no matter what. Teen being a teen. That’s my summer too. I like the composition. But I can say that for all of them. You should work them all up later.
I’m looking forward to seeing more.

I love #3 because it's easily relatable for many people young and old, but you can still be so creative with the kids' fantasy of various types of forts and their spirit of adventure while still at home over summer. I think you might be able to do a lot with the composition and different objects in the room that tell the story, too. Best of luck!

I love the idea of roasting a marshmallow in number one! Would you include some hint as to why the boat caught fire?
-
@Kuarahy we saw a burned boat a couple weeks ago and I didn’t think that was possible so I looked it up and the most common reasons have to do with electrical problems
-
@holleywilliamson interesting! I wouldn't have guessed! That sounds hard to convey though. . . it'd be more fun to give some far fetched crazy explanation, like a juggler practicing with flaming objects nearby, or someone/something with fireworks, or maybe the kid really wanted to go camping all along, and he tried to make a campfire on the boat but didn't realize it'd get out of hand. . . hinting at some sort of backstory would really compliment the drama of the moment.

I like the 1 the most, there can be fun to see the expressions

Thanks everyone for your input!

Hello, I like all of them, the nr. 3 is so relatable as a mom of one young boy can’t wait to see more. Keep up the good job.
-
I love the compostion of number three, but love the story of 2

I think I will go with 1. I like 3 too but, lots of forts can't be wrong .
