I just lost about 2 hours or more worth of my work on Krita
Just wanted to vent on here or get sympathy...or something. This is going to be frustrating. At least I still have part of it that I made a copy of last night but none of tonights work. I was really liking it too. So hard to figure out how to do certain things.....I wish I had a little workbook with assignments I could do a little at a time. I guess I just need to be patient...as usual. Thanks for listening. I was liking it too. Ugh.Marsha Ottum Owen

Oh I am terribly sorry.=( That’s a major bummer. Not much comfort in this but I hope your process step by step has improved so maybe you can recreate it with the knowledge you’ve learned and can do it more quickly.
If you redo it please share it on here, I’d really like to see it.

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen That. Friggin'. SUCKS. There's nothing worse than losing work to computer error.
I think it's possible to set up Krita to autosave if this is happening to you regularly.

Argh, I feel you, Marsha. So sorry this happened! I really do think that when you redo it you'd like it better, as @JennyJones said. But again, this sucks, and I'm sorry.

I do the same! Command + S as I'm a Mac user. Every 10 minutes or so or more, hahah.

Uuuuuuugh! That suuuuuucks! Sorry to hear that happened to you. I think it happens to everyone at some stage or another - and it's such a bummer when it does!! Like someone else mentioned, try focusing in the fact that you learned things when you did it (even if it was all lost) so you still gained a lot out of the process. x

I’m so sorry for you. Yeah, I hear that Krita crashes from time to time. This really stinks. It would definitely help to save your work as often as every hour.

I am so sorry this happened to you, absolutely vent. I can empathize, I once painted hours of hair and I was really loving it and lost it. I tried for several more hours to find it get it back and just ended up repainting. It was a lesson learned. I am sorry this happened to you

Well that's a bummer! The only thing I can say is something others have already mentioned...be sure to use ctrl + S shortcut very often! Two hours is not that bad though! (unless that's the whole time you have to draw each day) it's muuuch worse when you're doing something big and you're 10h+ into it
Look for positives though! If you're willing to take another shot at the same art piece, you've made some kind of 'test run' before that. It may be easier and quicker this time!
