Watercolor to digital
-
Last week I did a watercolor of a polar bear roasting a marshmallow over a campfire and thought it would be a good exercise to also render it digitally. I use Sketchbook Pro most of the time, as I find its interface to be really intuitive to work with.

This looks great, I really like the rendering and texturing you've done on the digital piece, he's such a cute character! Would love to see him in a bit of a background or sitting on some snow or something

Great work on the bear! It looks so cute. My one issue is with the smoke. Perhaps you can tone down the black a little or not have it all together. The fire is already looking great.

You've done an excellent job! The shading is awesome, and the fire has a lot more "personality". I agree with both the previous comments--there's something charmingly forlorn about the bear when he's in the environment rendered in watercolor that is missing in the digital version. I think you might be able to have a lot of fun creating it!
