Hidden WIP
-
Hey all this is my first time starting a post as well as participating in a challenge.
I’m really enjoying the interactions in the community so far.
So, here is my idea so far on the Hidden contest.
Let me know what you all think. I could use some really helpful constructive critiques.

@abbylucero the image didn't display. Trying uploading again and wait a few moments until the image appears in the preview window, then post.

@Jon-Anderson thanks i’ll Try again below.
It looks like I had some sizing issue. Is there a guideline somewhere on uploading images in the forum?
Thanks

I like the composition and simplicity of your image.
It has a nice style to it.
-
@kathrynadebayo thanks so much that means a lot.

@abbylucero I think it tells you the size limit in a warning box when you try posting too large. I think Lee said to make sure the pictures submitted for contests be 2100 pixels or less on the longest side so I've used that as a guide. Other than that I'm not aware of any guide. One the I noticed about your composition is that the bottom right corner is empty and potentially a dead zone for the eye. Try placing something simple like furniture there that won't overpower the focal point but not trap the eye in the corner either.

@AbbyLucero I think @Jon-Anderson meant 1200 not 2100 pixels per side.
Here are guidelines from a previous (last October) contest:
HOW TO ENTER:
Draw something awesome.
Post your final illustration on the SVS Forum, in the thread titled October Illustration Contest: Halloween Meets Inktober. KEEP THIS THREAD FOR FINAL IMAGES ONLY. If you want feedback on a WIP, create a new thread. It gets too confusing if it's all shown in one thread. Note: You will need to login into a Forum user account in order to post.
Keep the file size no more than 1200 pixels on the longest side.
Don’t forget to include your name AND SVS name ON THE IMAGE so we can give you credit! And if you want us to tag you, include your handle too. This saves us a lot of time in the end when we are trying to give credit. It also allows others to quickly see who did the work later if they grab your image for reference, etc.
Also, only submit if you are OK with us posting your image on social media.
Limit it to one entry per person.

@eli Yes! Totally right. LOL I definitely got that mixed up. Thanks for clearing it up.

@jon-anderson thanks for the advice about adding another point of interest.
@Eli thank you so much for letting me know of the posting guidelines. It’s a big help.
