Is there anything that can be done about all this spam?

I love seeing gibberish and spam as much as the next guy, but last night was ROUGH! There were like 50 spam posts. Is there a way to make it so new users can only post a certain amount or something like that? It's difficult keeping up with all the new stuff from people when it's surrounded by steaming piles of hot street trash.

Don't know what everyone's complaining about @Ace-connell. I love the spam. I just started a new excercize regime that involves a lot of scrolling and this is just the thing I need. My scrolling finger has never been more fit.
