@Braden-Hallett I also absolutely love this. The idea and the line work are great!

Superstition - WIP - lightning pebbles
I am not sure if I can finish this task but I liked the challenge. There is a superstition saying that you can protect your home from the storm if you throw "lightning pebbles" over the roof. These are pebbles which were found in the woods or on fields far away from water. People thought that those pebbles are the product of lightnings hitting the ground. And because things cannot be striked twice by lightning, one should bring those pebbles close the house, so that also the house will not be hit.
The best effect one can expect by throwing the pebbles over the roof.
I made a first color concept. My biggest problem is to show the movement of the pebbles. Do you think one can understand the story? I added the text to make it more obvious.
Thanks in advance!
RE: Portfolio pieces WIP- help please
@Nyrryl-Cadiz I also do love your dancing kids, particularly the perspective is wonderful. I would suggest that the sitting kids watch the two dancers in the middle, instead of looking to the sticks. It would connect them even more and they would need it to coordinate their next steps anyways. I am looking forward to see you working on this piece.
WIP fairy tale comic
Hi everybody! After a very long time not posting, I am happy to be back. So nice to see old and new faces!
I was pretty much distracted by my day job, but still I found some time to work on a project. Because getting feedback from you guys always helped to push through, I wanna share what I am working on.
It is a fairy tale comic "Snow Queen" from Hans Christian Andersen. I wanna keep it very close to the original idea and text. Right now I am working on the backgrounds and on polishing the page layouts. Here three examples. What do you think? Is it going in a good direction? Is it too stiff with the vector line work?
Thanks for your Feedback!
RE: Tell me what you think is wrong with this new piece.
I really love the poses of the fiddler and the cat and the graphic style of the whole piece.:-)
But somehow I liked the shyness of the original piece more than the digital version. I find the texture in the sky a bit too much.
RE: Communication Arts Illustration Competition 2017
@Kevin-Longueil I am sure you are not too sad about missing the annual, right? Enjoy the short list!
