Animal characters for fairy tale

Hi, everybody! I am still experimenting with finding the right style for a fairy tale. I am shooting for a flat look.
What do you think? Would kids like it?

@Jana Your animals look very cute! Maybe because it's for children, you could give the animals some more crazy colors, like purple or something?

I think using a more whimsical color pallet would help give your characters the fairetale feel your looking for. Include more cool colors like purples and blues.

@Jana I agree with the colors. Also the animals look sad, not sure if that is the look you are going for, but happy would be better for kids as well.

Sure, I will play with the colors. Yes, I wanted to have them looking sad. The farmer is telling them that he has to sell the farm. But no worries they will be happy at the end. -
@drawingmelee @eleArts Thanks for the feedback. I will play with the colors, good idea. There will be many more animals in that illustration. I guess I will make a final decision when they are all there to keep the harmony colorwise.
