3rd Thursday Provisional Prompt
-
Just a reminder to folks that there is a general consensus that until we get a new 3rd Thursday prompt from SVS we thought we would busy ourselves with our own - Deadline is the same as usual - 3rd Thursday of October - no final critique other than on the forum - just post stuff as usual if you are interested -
The prompt is to take a previous 3rd Thursday image that you have done and make a piece that strongly relates to it - chronologically would be an excellent idea - a piece that shows the scene before or the scene after your existing image - good luck

@Kevin-Longueil Since I haven't done 3rd Thursday yet, I'm guessing it's ok for me to just draw one of the 3rd Thursday prompts? That'll be great, since I was late starting September's
-
@Kevin-Longueil Sounds good to me!
-
What about for those who have never done any 3rd Thursday entries?
-
@Eric-Castleman I'd be interested to hear what @Kevin-Longueil thinks, but one thought of mine would be to try last month's prompt - actually thinking about it, you already started it I believe, with the pirate and the shark and the plank? I suggest it because last month's prompt was designed to make us draw the moment before, or during something happening, to show the tension of what is about to happen...so it would work really well for doing a scene before + scene after set of images...

Definitely going to do this - not sure yet which one I am going to take. Maybe I'll do something with the Oz characters.
-
I'm actually already doing this for the fall critique session. But after that I'd be interested in doing something with my OZ characters as well that was one of my favorite third Thursdays even though I didn't get it done in time.

@Eric-Castleman Hey Eric - i like @Dulcie's advice - did not mean to exclude folks with the prompt - really you can do anything you want - the idea was to help with portfolio development - is there a piece you have done that would work that was not a 3rd Thursday piece - you could use that .... my thinking in using a 3rd Thursday piece was that we would already know the history and evolution of the first piece making our critiques of the second piece possibly a bit more well informed - any two pieces will do though
