Hi! I'm a seventeen year old freelance illustrator and aspiring animator.

Not sure how to post images on these forums, but you can check out my work at andrewgthomas.com!

I'm currently working on a huge book project, so that's taking up most of my time...but I am excited to dive into the courses here on SVS with my new subscription!

I also love any critiques/advice that anyone can offer. 🙂

        Andrew,
I'm a very casual doodler--so all i can contribute is this advice--take the "Posing Characters" and "Mastering Perspective" classes. They blew my mind.

Hey Andrew! Welcome to SVS, glad you're here.

I checked out your website. Impressive work for a 17 year old. I see a lot of good foundational stuff you're doing. Julie is right, posing characters would be a great course to start off with. Also, "Breathing Life Into Your Characters" is another good one.

As for posting an image take the url of the image you want to share, like this one:

          http://www.andrewgthomas.com/uploads/2/6/9/6/26966605/6433493.png

Then do this: ![]( put you image's url here )

And this is what it looks like:

Sneak peek of a new book I'm working on! Should be available on Amazon later this year.

Recently visited Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) and really loved it! Here's the portfolio I showed them.

Here's a fun personal project I did this morning to get my mind off client work for a bit:

And here's an illustration I just finished for a new educational/foreign language book for pre-teens. (Client: The Language Project Kids) This is a nice challenge for me...not using any color and only simple lines.

I've finished the Posing Characters course and am now running through the Breathing Life into Your Character Designs course and really loving it so far!

                    Good line work!
