@NessIllustration right?!
-
@Jeremy-Ross I totally agree. they didn't ask me to take it down tho. but even if they did, I would not take it down without a fight it's staying up as a warning to anyone who wants to work with cricket
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz They would have no right to demand that - the payment is in exchange for the illustrations which you have already delivered! They're free to offer something else in exchange for that if they wish, and you'd be free to refuse
-
Congrats on getting paid! I have an alert of my calendar in June to start pestering them about payment.
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth all the Best to you Laurel. Keep us posted. ️
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz Congratulations Nyrryl!!!! That's my decision also! Pester them. @Laurel-Aylesworth would you mind posting your pester letter when you have put together? I may need it!
-
@ArtistErin lol - yes, happy to
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth Hey @Nyrryl-Cadiz - it's time for me to start hounding Cricket for payment of one of my projects. May I ask whom you contacted over there?
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth hi Laurel! ️ Try this email accountspayable@cricketmedia.com
-
I am struggling with them now! I also did a few illustrations for them last year for their August Ladybug magazine and still waiting on payment. I've threatened a few times that I will name and shame them, but all I get in response is that they are having cash flow issues and that they assure me that I will get paid. When??? 10 years from now? They can't give me a timeframe. So frustrating! They owe me $1800
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz Thank you!
-
@Gabby-Correia Gabby, who did you contact about payment? I'm dealing with Sue Beck as the art director, but she never responded about the payment due...so this morning I emailed the accounts payable address Nyrryl provided.
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth Hi Laurel. Yup, I also worked with Sue Beck.
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz I'm guessing she wasn't super helpful.
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth "Accounts Payable" are the only ones that respond... eventually, but they just respond with fluff or automated emails anyway.
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth I was dealing with Shavan Spears who put me in contact with Accounts
-
@Laurel-Aylesworth 100% useless
-
This is the response I got:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding a payment due to you from Cricket Media.
We would like to make you aware that we are currently in a tight cashflow situation and are working diligently with our internal management team to prioritize and process payments as efficiently as possible. A part of this process includes the implementation of a recurring payment schedule flow and are aligning your invoice to confirm a timeframe the payment will complete.
We will notify you once the timing of the payment is scheduled.
Thank you for your patience as we work through the temporary state and we want to reiterate how important your contribution/service is to us and appreciate your understanding.Sincerely,
Cricket Media Accounts Payable -
Nyrryl, thanks for sharing your story

I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering how your experience getting paid has gone? What does your husband suggest?
It's now been 8 months since my work was published, and I've received two partial payments with the same messages from accounting. I did look at my contract again, and it says this:
Cricket Media agrees to compensate You with a one-time payment of $570 ($310 + $260) and You agree to accept such
compensation as full consideration for the rights granted herein.Would this mean they are in violation of their contract?
Today, I've started leaving longer posts on Facebook and Instagram about their lack of payment. I also commented on a sales director's LinkedIn post. I just want the remaining $370 that they owe me. I can't even imagine being owed $1800!
