SEPTEMBER CONTEST: Design a character for Inktober!
-
@von_Nimmermehr thank you so much it's a good idea to write them an email
-
@Koaila-art I noticed after I submitted one of my characters that the eye and the X on the skull design on the pirates hat are reversed in one of the poses. I just left it. I am sure they will figure it out and use the new one you submitted.

Ha, I am not too savvy and couldn't figure out where to type text with my image in the forum Glad to be participating again and having fun with so much talented artists. Let's have a fun Inktober!

@LisaF
My submission is of Oscar the orangutang.
He is confident, joyful and just happy to be alive.
His dad sells bannanas as a banana vendor at the local stadium and Oscar loves banana splits!!!! -
Almost missed the deadline, but the first time I'm entering the contest! I'm proud of the way this turned out and thanks to those who gave feedback!
-
Well, I ended up doing this in a real hurry this evening and it is waaaaaaay past my bedtime but after spending time early on in the month doing the close up of the face I really wanted to βshipβ it even if I would have liked to spend more time on it!
-
Here we go!
-
Let's do this! :-]
-
Getting this in at the last possible second! Beautiful work here! I'm excited to enter again after a few months hiatus.

Hi Its my first time working on a monthly contest/prompt; and I left it until the last minute as I've had a busy month moving house, but wanted to enter anyway to make myself cross the finish line. I've not had to use layers and editing files digitally before - I'd never heard of a psd file let along used it. I just draw doodles with pens and pencils, so by doing the challenge I have at least learnt how to do some basic file editing stuff. I didn't have time to properly finalise the drawing or text.
I also wanted to give myself the challenge of drawing a character without traditional character features (ie eyes, mouth) - loosely inspired by the way Pixar turn inanimate objects into characters, so went with a jellyfish with just imaginary eyebrows.
I struggled with arranging the images in the square as I'd drawn them separately, and they don't fit together very well - definitely something to think about next time!
-
@jenithornhill these are brilliant! Each detail is more charming than the last.
-
Barely snuck it in. Loving all the amazing pieces; great job everyone!
Penelope and Bunny begin their Inktober journey!

@ellenseal14 I love her! She has amazing details. I hope you do inktober on Instagram with her too! The whole witch thing really felt like something I would be happy drawing for a month so it just worked for me too. Great job!
