Meet my pal Albert (he is a bit special....)hopeful WIP
-
Hi all.
I was sure I was gonna fail this months prompt, but today was the day that my day job let me start working on this fella.Sooo.
I had this idea the whole month.
What if Albert was not a real Mammal(the rules did not mention specifically a real animal) but was a cute chimera??!Based on this initial thought, I went on and on and came to a conclusion that a Chimera would be great for educational purposes for children.
First of all , it is made from different parts of different animals, so you have a lot to analyze.
My second thought was that it would definately had a hard time fitting in, so It would teach the kiddos a lot about anti-racism, true friendship and all those positive virtues.
So my design process begins!!
I ll work on many more and hopefully I ll make it!
What do you think>?Much love.
Giorgos

@Georgios-Christopoulos i think its quality mate. And as long as Mrs Albert secretes milk, then chimeras qualify as mammsls, so all good on the technicalities!
-
I like the bat bear for most cute and the gorilla bear with the curvy horns for most cool.
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos Love them all, honestly you could probably create an awesome "chimera school" with these characters! As for critique arena, for the cuteness aspect I agree with @burvantill that the bat/etc one is a good choice, but I also adore the mouse/deer/etc ... mostly because when looking from afar he kinda has that pikachu/pichu vibe and I mean, he's the most popular pokemon so there's gotta be something to that!
-
I love these. I had a go at a bit of a Pokemon style but they just looked like normal mammals!
My favourite is the mouse one too (I still have a talking Pikachu toy sitting behind me bought in 2001).
Like @gavpartridge says, make sure it's a mammal and it's a winner.

Diddo on what lizardillo wrote. Your designs remind me of why in my youth I had gravitated towards Pokemon and Digimon. The chimeras are a good gamble. I think the judges will like idea and much as we do.
The lion version has more of a lead character look about it, the others look like good support characters.
-
Played with the designs some more.
I like how the Lion one came out for sure, but the body type of the one on the right...I think it tends out of the theme.
Also love your suggestions to work on the mouse/rabbit figure.
I think, though it is not the cutest, it emmits some mischievous character.
What do you think?@gavpartridge hah!!now I wanna draw a mrs Albert!
@burvantill thanks mate!check the new ones if you want.I sure d like some opinion on them too!
@Sabrina-Gosselin thanks for the opinion sabrina!I worked some more on the mouse/bunny design.
@lizardillo Thanks so much liz!
@willicreate thanks mate! it is a gamble for sure, but I figure why not. Happy you like the idea!!Thanks guys!

I keep forgetting the character needs to be mischievous. The bunny has the right attitude for the prompt. I'd change the grey fur color (or not?). To me, it looks like Bugs and Daffy pulled a Dragonball fusion and became a demon (good or bad thing? I dunno...). Sorry if this isn't helpful
-
@willicreate every comment is helpful my friend! Thanks for taking the time. I see what you are saying about the fur. DragonBall-x-looney tunes for the win!
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos Great concept! The lion grabs my attention the most, but I also prefer the body shape on the right. Excited to see it finished!
-
I love how strong your shapes are in this character. It makes him nice to look at. I like the lion one a little better. He looks a bit more friendly.
-
@miranda-hoover thanks a lot Miranda!I decided to go with the rabbit one!I d be delighted to listen what do you think of it!
@Jules thanks so much!Ok guys ! Here is the final one!
I also put a stuffed toy in there, cause I think it would make a nice toy for kiddos! Thanks for you help and suggestions!!
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos Looks great! I'm especially a fan of the poses. Just realized he's both a chimera and a jackalope
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos well I think we can definitely say heβs unique. Really imaginative. I like the cuddly toy too. Great
-
I love all of your designs (as usual). I think your designs would make great characters for a card game... like pokemon style
-
Excellent @Georgios-Christopoulos! Love the toy edition too! PBS here you go!!
-
@lizardillo thanks! Let s hope I am inside the theme this month! Love your long furry critter. Also the bandana is very clever!
@miranda-hoover I really hope I knew about this creature before the initial design! It is awesome!
@K-Flagg thanks a lot my friend! Well it is something that I think interests me, designing illos for cards, so who knows?
@Jeremy-Ross thanks a lot Jeremy!
