@chrisaakins Nice work! I hadn't heard about this challenge.
-
hats are fun.
-
@ajillustrates I saw it on Facebook
-
@Braden-Hallett Love these!!
-
I drew this picture and the next day someone had made fanart of it on Twitter, amazing complement, so cool!!
-
Taking a break from everything and working a bit on this months prompt.
Working on the concept stage,see what part of the old mans story intrigues me more.
Any comments about what works and what does not? -
I'm drawing some isometric sushi to eventually make a big fully illustrated set. Nice and relaxing. Giving my brain a rest from trying to come up with a 'situation'
-
@lizardillo yummy!
-
@lizardillo At the risk of creating a "situation" for you, these would make an incredilbe matching card game.
-
@ajillustrates I would love to create a card game! I have always wanted to make a game of snap, a top trumps style or battle card game with fun characters. Drawing food is my other love... perhaps 'Sushi Snap' could be a thing! I could do a couple that look almost identical but have a sneaky, sneaky difference.

Hats are awesome. Now with curmudgeonly caretakers.
-
Last weekend @kaitlinmakes and I went to SoCal to see JAW Coopers art show. That morning we walked over to the Arlington Garden and did some drawing. It was a great environment. I was able to squeeze out 2 plein air value drawings before we had to head back and get ready for the show. I think these are my best so far.
-
fancy hats, curmudgeonly caretakers and elephantine capybaras
-
Another red riding hood book cover for the challenge
-
Tryin' to get more local value in with pencil instead of paint (at least on the characters)
-
Played with creating a forest and some ghosts today on my livestream. Having fun!
-
Practicing foliage with watercolor and ink on watercolor paper.
-
These are the basic skethes for the May Contest "Situation" pieces I plan on making!
Hopefully I ll make it through the deadline.
Old man sure makes mistakes (pic1) but sure is heroic and fearless!!(pic2)Which one do you think works better?
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos I like the bottom one best as there is a little less text. Are the fish unaware that he is up there ready to jump in as they are all facing away from him, or are they swimming away to escape?
-
@lizardillo anaware,just lurking in there.
