APRIL CONTEST: Design A Fairy-Tale Inn
-
@AustinShurtliff hey thanks for getting back the little pink cottage on the forum is the one that needs updating on the site. Also do I seem to be doing the template right I feel like Iโm doing something something wrong and some of the images are losing quality? I am not a computer person so I may need someone to hold my hand
-
@joosterwijk we will be uploading submission about once a week for now. I just uploaded yours. The size of the template is based on the the design of the website, but I think it's a great idea to include that information in the instructions on the website!
-
@Asyas_illos I just updated the pink house with your newer version. I'm sorry you have been having problems with the template. For the last design you made, I wonder if the problem might be that the image of your art is not very large (I just noticed the some of the other ones you posted were less than 1200 px on one side). That is total a guess, so I might be way off. One idea is that I could create a quick walk through video on how to use the template. What program are you using to open the template? If you want to create a short screen recording showing me the issues you are having you can email me a copy or a link to the video and I would love to go through it.
Thank you for working with us with the new template

@AustinShurtliff well I downloaded it looked for it all over my tablet found it in files then in my photos so I sent the photo to procreate and was able to navigate from there but it seems like there should be an easier way... edit I am not home currently but will look into recording thing may not go well either lol sorry for being a total noob
-
@Asyas_illos no worries! I haven't tried doing this on a tablet, but that is certainly something we need to make sure runs smoothly too.

Hello All! Here is my Tavern design for our intrepid traveler! This is my first submission here, and it has been so encouraging and inspiring to see all the designs already.
After a long day of trudging across the lands, our traveler arrives at a somewhat eerie refuge. Hopefully, our hero can find rest at The Tavern on the Marsh.
-
@Joel-Cockrell this is beautifully done! goodluck!
-
@Joel-Cockrell I like this one a lot!
-
@Joel-Cockrell I really like the colors you chose for this piece! It looks like a place where lots of quests could be found
-
Wow, you guys are really bringing it this month! keep it up!!!

These are awesome!!!

@AustinShurtliff still not sure about the template process and Iโve been suffering a migraine the past couple days and didnโt want to injure my brain further lol by trying to figure out how to show what it is I have been doing possibly wrong. I uploaded this most recent one here with the template but I also uploaded it to the site without. It just appears much clearer without it. If thereโs anyone else using the template with an iPad and procreate can you please let me know your process? I obviously donโt know what Iโm doing
-
@kylebeaudette That's wow! And the little characters and a stage set. Real polished nice!
-
@Joel-Cockrell Welcome!
I enjoy looking at all the details, the colour, the textures, again and again! Really impressive!
-
Here is my submission! It's the haunted fortune teller's inn. Stay for a night or two if you dare!
-
-
So as I am teaching my students two point perspective I decide to draw another Inn. This time I imagine it is a little girlโs fairy tale inn from her imagination. Done in a completely different style than my first two. And apparently the motif for this month for me was hanging lights so I included some more here.
-
@Braden-Hallett I feel like one of your characters would live here. Maybe Penny before her pre-felonious ways.

Maybe Penny before her pre-felonious ways.
Penny has never been "pre" felonious. She is simply felonious
