FEBRUARY CONTEST: YETI COOKING
-
@LisaF Thanks for the example! I have a question.Isn t this example more of a combination of a spot and a bleed illo? I always thought spot illustrations are kinda small and "float" in the page.

I think after watching critique Arena, am gonna Change this one!
-
@Aaron_T yeti Crocker! I love it
-
@shereen-said I think yours still acts as a spot Illo thereβs no border and it doesnβt have defined edges.
-
@shereen-said ..i missed critique arena today....did they nail down what they expected for the spot illustration during the critique? Your piece seems like a spot illustration to me... especially looking at the example of Lee's at the top of the posts...??
-
@Kevin-Longueil they did and if you need any examples they said go to the illustrated lists of podcasts and it shows all the cover illustrations and most of them are spot. They said no defined border and still needs to convey concept/story. Also vignette is a type spot illo.
-
@Asyas_illos Thank you! That helps a lot...was starting to worry a bit that my piece was too vignette"y
or should i say "vin-yeti"....sorry we love puns in my family Thanks Again! -
@Asyas_illos yes you are right, but now I miss the factor of a story telling thing.
