Since Arietty is half mermaid half yeti she actually resides in the arctic sea with her mother. This is where her parents met and fell in love, when yeti took a trip north to the Asian/arctic coast. I did several thumbnail sketches and discovered that icebergs are really hard to draw! Alas, I think this is the one Im leaning towards. Still many adjustments to be made...

Thanks @Kim-Rosenlof I wanted to do a penguin but since penguins reside in the Southern Hemisphere I don’t want to get too crazy lol. I mean we’ve already got a fire going inside the iceberg as well as running water underwater
so I opted for a penguin stuffie
I think I need to adjust my canvas size though I notice when you zoom in it gets very pixelated anybody have any suggestions on size for clarity?
Maybe change the fish wind sock to a northern species of whale?
@Asyas_illos This is really cute! Love your concept. My only feedback would be to continue the icebergs under the water till they fall off screen. Icebergs are huge under water and it would read more coherently.

@erinrew thanks! I actually have made that adjustment I was trying to rework my canvas to a larger size so when zoomed in I wouldn’t lose the detail and when I was doing that I realized I needed to make it bigger

Hmm after adjusting the canvas size I still feel like I’m losing detail when zoomed in? Is it just the size restrictions set by svs? Heres where I am at,still playing around with angles and perspective and deciding which details to keep. yay or nay on the mother in the window?
I will add the value back in when I move to color . @Kim-Hunter I want to keep the koi fish because in the background of this little yeti story I want the personal belongings to be things sent from yeti ,her father, since he cannot be with her all the time, he likes to send her things in the mail lol

Grrr!! this is so frustrating! How do I get a better choice in file size uploads?! The limit from my iPad is 335 kB when max for svs is 6500!

Woo hooo! Ok so I found a canvas size that uploaded without resizing! For anybody else having issues it is 5100 x3300 pix.
Started paint today!
Not sure if more layers equals more bites but hopefully I don’t lose detail as I go along I had to size down to upload again 
Well I’m done and I hope when I upload it doesn’t screw me on detail...
