Dec contest: ” YETI “ wip
-
Hey y’all here’s my yeti wip! some of you might have caught a glimpse of my Bigfoot I almost posted for “together” and then didn’t. But I’m glad cuz with some minor changes he’s now been yetified!
-
Can’t decide if I want to go big eyes or not?...
-
@powsupermum I think the big eyes are cute, and today at the critique Arina cute wins
-
@shereen-said thanks for the feedback! yes I recall that being a topic of discussion I just couldn’t decide which was cuter but my fam said the same. I usually do big eyes but I’ve grown fond of dot eyes lately...
-
Well as I lay trying to fall asleep last night I thought how I could make my character unique and stand out more right then my daughter walked and it just like hit me I had to make her a mer-yeti! So I did a quick sketch on my phone before falling asleep and this morning did a quick sketch and color study and thoughts?
-
I did a little clean up I like her but I feel she’s more mermaid than yeti... I don’t know what to do!
-
@powsupermum She's adorable! It's a creative take on the "Yeti" idea.
-
@Jeremiahbrown thanks I’m just worried she won’t be enough yeti...
-
@powsupermum Maybe put her in a cold water scene with icebergs or ice floes? She's adorable!
-
Thought I’d try out some legs on her...
-
@powsupermum what if she was like a harp seal? This is really cute, I hope you can find a way to make the mer-yeti work. I think its really cute either way though.
-
@K-Flagg thank you I’m trying!
-
Don’t ask me if she’s underwater or not lol
-
Love you meryeti concept!
-
@erinrew thank you!
-
Ok having some trouble... is this considered 3/4 back? Or is it more full back not sure...
-
Also which sitting position do you like more? The tail out pose will require something she’s sitting on of course.
-
Well I think I’ve figured out my final sketches still working on the walking running or swimming in my case, gesture but other than that I think this is working. Yay excited to get closer to final painting!
-
I think the idea is very original and it's developing really well. It's just a late thought, but if the yeti is planning on walking on some capacity on land then her flippers would work really well as ski's if she were to have some poles on hand Or even without poles I could imagine her snowboarding around like that
-
@Gary-Wilkinson thanks! that is an intriguing idea, for some reason when we think of mermaids on land, they have no strength in their tails... but I guess in the art world anything is possible! I’ll play around with the idea!
