First contest entry. I finally figured out how to post without replying. Sorry for the duplicates!
I took the photo on my iPhone.
Traditional media - Micron pen, gouache on paper. 8.5x11
Roy is a pen and ink butterfly character I explored for the duration of Inktober2020. It totally fits his personality to play as a yeti.
After redrawing multiple times, issues with scanning, etc., I am now convinced to go digital

@RioSim1 From my original post β So many amazing yetis from everyone! Glad to be participating! Grateful for this amazing assignment that stretched me beyond anything I would have chosen.β

@Mackenzie-Melendy Clever use of the environment there. Really like how the fire influences the poses.
-
@RioSim1 thank you

@JDRpictures Wow, great job!.. Is this traditional? it almost looks like chalk.

Just looking over your entries and I love all the different takes and backstories. Anyone else notice that the women among us are tending to cute yeti (yetis?) and the men are tending to strong yeti? Not that I counted, and I certainly won't judge anyone for bucking the trend! The high school yeti is an interesting tendency as well. Can't wait to watch the Critique Arena and see how this all turns out!
