Thinking Outside the Pen Class Work
-
I’m having a lot of fun so far playing around with ink in a way I haven’t before. This is really taking me out of my comfort zone. Love it
Here are my sketchbook pages so far.
I am most interested in the ribbony effects the brushes give so far. About to play more with adding nib details today.
Hope to see some inky goodness from fellow students soon

Cool and inspirational. Keep on inking!

Thanks @Kim-Hunter !
Here’s a drawing of my parrot using the feathery swooshes. Getting the right amount of ink on the brushes is definitely an art in and of itself.

@Elliot This is looking super neat! Some of the effects you're getting is incredible. Can't wait to see more
-
@Jacy13 Thank you! I look forward to seeing what you make!
-
@Elliot Looking awesome! I hope you enjoy the class!

experimented with the techniques from the class. Still trying to figure out how to incorporate it with my work, but still had fun.
First I did the body with a big brush. Then I went over with red ink. Then I went in with white paint and filled in the teeth. Then added more details slowly with blue plaint and more black ink with a nib. for the eyes, I used white paint then filled it in with a blue color pencil.

@Ben-Chu woah!

Redid the drawing. Then finished it up in photoshop.
