My condolences for your loss.
This piece is so cool...I'm sure if your uncle saw that jacket he would love it!
I drew this with some washable fabric marker as a tribute to my uncle Eric who passed away recently due to a lifetime of drug abuse. It had led me to stop creating art for a little bit until my other uncle Bryce wanted me to draw this tribute image on his denim-jacket. My uncle always loved bars karaoke, and now I'm sure he's singing with the angels just like in this renaissance-inspired image. I'm not looking for critiques this time around (I personally see plenty of mistakes myself) I just wanted to share this with the SVS community. I wanted to show this because it is incredibly personal to me. I think its important to remember that we make art to display emotion or significance in a certain subject. I think we need to have our life define our art and once we do, we can create things that make an impact in the world. I know that Will Terry and Jake Parker has recently gone through something like this and I hope this reaches them. They are sort of idols of mine. Along with Lee White and his talents as well. I suppose I just wanted to let Will and Jake know that my heart goes out to them and that they inspire me to take my dream of becoming a freelance illustrator head on! Anyways, I hope anyone who sees this out enjoys this little illustration I did.
@chachaarts Thank you for sharing this, and I am so sorry for your loss. This is a beautiful tribute, and it holds so much meaning. My thoughts are with you.
My condolences for your loss.

@ShannonBiondi my mother wanted bras on the Angel's. Knowing my uncle I decided against that lol
@chachaarts Haha! And I'm sure he appreciates it from wherever he is up there!
That’s really great! And a treasure for your uncle to have such a tribute for his brother. I find it very healing to be able to express how I feel in art for someone I love that has passed. Actually, in those times I feel it is why I have been given this gift in the first place. You mentioned flaws in the drawing, but what is always apparent in these type of images is the love you feel. I’m sure your jacket will mean more to everyone then you ever know! Make sure you get a good picture so you can print it out too!
@Whitney-Simms Thanks! I like the subject matter, I just think certain body parts are misplaced and proportions are a little off. The perfectionist in me I suppose, but thank you!
So sorry. Nice memorial!
