I drew this with some washable fabric marker as a tribute to my uncle Eric who passed away recently due to a lifetime of drug abuse. It had led me to stop creating art for a little bit until my other uncle Bryce wanted me to draw this tribute image on his denim-jacket. My uncle always loved bars karaoke, and now I'm sure he's singing with the angels just like in this renaissance-inspired image. I'm not looking for critiques this time around (I personally see plenty of mistakes myself) I just wanted to share this with the SVS community. I wanted to show this because it is incredibly personal to me. I think its important to remember that we make art to display emotion or significance in a certain subject. I think we need to have our life define our art and once we do, we can create things that make an impact in the world. I know that Will Terry and Jake Parker has recently gone through something like this and I hope this reaches them. They are sort of idols of mine. Along with Lee White and his talents as well. I suppose I just wanted to let Will and Jake know that my heart goes out to them and that they inspire me to take my dream of becoming a freelance illustrator head on! Anyways, I hope anyone who sees this out enjoys this little illustration I did.
