July Prompt submission
-
@Zachary-Schrage love the time travelling ice cream van idea. It's such an interesting take on the prompt. Your inking style is very accomplished too, mate.
-
@MarcRobinson Thanks! I can never put thepen down
-
@Zachary-Schrage Man this is awesome. I looked at this for several minutes just taking in all the details and story. Can't find anything major I would change!
-
@jahn thanks!

Hello!
July 2024 - Juleesa Espinoza
-
@AustinShurtliff I'm so sorry I won't be able to finish mine in time! I was so looking forward to it! But, I have a broken right elbow (long story) and it's probably going to be September before I can draw again.
My rough is in this thread if anyone wants to critique. I was still doing some new versions the day it happened. Share July HTFYA Ideas & WIP - (Food Truck)

I wonder if they will notice the SVSLearn red rabbit I put in?
-
I think this piece allowed me to learn a lot in Photoshop and how to organize way too many layers!

Here's my submission for this month's food truck inspired HTFYA:
-
Hi folks!, this is my entry for the HTFYA of this month, I hope you like it, I'm still struggling with how to color my drawings but one day at a time .
-
Hey all! I'm Anna and brand new to the forum but I've been listening to 3PP for years... I found the food truck prompt engaging and had a fun idea so I thought I'd enter my work this month! Looks like I wasn't the only one with this concept either, @jahn, but my image is a bit of a different take on the rubbish/garbage truck... hope that's okay!

Here is my submission There are tons of things I don't love about this final piece haha I actually think its totally over-worked.
And I think I made a huge mistake with trying to get creative with the horizon line... but let me stop pointing out the infinite list of things that are wrong with it
So, can't wait to learn about all the things I can do better next time!
Also yes I am guilty of changing up the prompt a bit... oops

Hi all, here is my finished art for HTFYA - I submitted a pencil rough to the general forum and, from a few more pencil thumbnails, got to this one.
Some lessons learned in using inks over water colours...

Hello!
What a fun theme it was. And fun to see everyone else's pictures on the theme.instagram.com/karin86gill

@annastenger nice use of color!
-
@annastenger Oh that's awesome! Love your shapes on the animals and especially the truck. The basic lighting and limited palette works so well. Good work!
-
@thomas-young Thank you! I always have trouble with local color selection so I try to get around that by picking funky palettes [:
-
@jahn Oh thanks!! I loved the action of yours...The raccoon tossing the garbage is just perfect!
-
@AustinShurtliff I couldn't finish this one because my elbow is broken and I won't have my right hand back until at least halfway through August, but I think I'm going to post what I was able to do anyway, because the main thing I wanted feedback on was the story and composition.
I'm sort of embarrassed because it's still very rough, and it looks like one mermaid is diving over the old man's head, which I hope I could've fixed, but since this is all I can do I'll post it. Also, I was hoping to find a way to make it obvious that the seller herself was at at least a part-time mermaid.
I look forward to seeing the critiques!
