APRIL CONTEST: Design the Coolest Treehouse in the World!
-
@Melissa_Bailey love the roots, this is such a great idea
-
@Asyas_illos -- This treehouse is SO creative! (And hilarious, too!) Loving the new direction your style is taking.
@Cayleen -- This really is the COOLEST treehouse in the world! Love your take on the prompt.
@patricialamas -- BEAUTIFUL rendering. I love the subtle color variations. Your drawing is so precise and delicate. οΈ
@evarartistry -- Your fishy treehouse is amazing! Love that you're trying out looser styles. I aspire to your bravery!
@mag -- Great perspective! So adorable, as always!
@Perky-Smith-Hagadone -- Your fish treehouse is gorgeously drawn and rendered. And is that a tiny little mouse I spy in a knothole? So cute!
@ArtistErin -- That bark ... !!! And the way you have the staircase carved into the trunk and winding up the tree ... so creative! You thought of all the details.
@amandalo -- a gameboard treehouse! Love it!
-
@Griffin thanks! I mean ... who doesn't need a submersible in their treehouse?
-
@Griffin I have had trouble with file names in procreate too, he doesnβt seem to see it. Is this where you name it or am I missing it somewhere?
-
@Asyas_illos in Procreate, you name files in the gallery. Tap on a canvas name in the gallery and a box should pop up that allows you to change the name of that canvas. When you export a file, that's the name that will automatically be put as the file name.
However, if you share when the canvas is open, there is often the ability to change the file name there as well. Naming the file you're exporting does not change the canvas name in Procreate.
Hope this helps!
-
Thank you @Melissa-Bailey ! I love yours too!
-
@Melissa_Bailey yes it does thank you!
-
@Asyas_illos aww, thanks, Asya! οΈ

Here is my treehouse, it's only really a cool treehouse if you are a panda. They like sleeping and eating bamboo. It's quite difficult if your favourite food is bamboo and you live in bamboo (they just can't help having a nibble! )
I had resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't have time this month but I've had a go. It's not really finished properly . I I wasn't sure if we were allowed to add characters so there's no pandas snoozing in the snoozing spotsLets hope no-one notices that bamboo is a grass and not a tree!
-
@lizardillo so cute, Liz! It looks finished to me -- you're probably the only one who notices the areas where you wanted to do more and ran out of time.
-
@Melissa_Bailey thanks Melissa. It was a bit on /off/on/off but then I decided to go for it! It's nearly midnight here in the UK so lβve got this far just in time
-
@Johanna-Kim Thanks, that is high praise, much appreciated.
-
@lizardillo This is fun and it is ok as bamboo grows real thick, in South America where I stayed they had two homes and a restaurant made out of bamboo pillars! It is very strong. My small drawing table is made from bamboo.
-
@Johanna-Kim Each image took at least 10 hours not including the drawing- sketch phase.
-
@lizardillo love those bites!
-
I meant for this to be more wizard-looking, but my family told me the little characters looked like gnomes. Oh well.
-
@Griffin I save mine to files, then name it. When they did the lucky critiques, I saw that my layer in the critiques was named the same way I saved it.
-
I went a little overboard on this one with all the birds and cat, so it is not as much of an environment piece as a story, but I thought I would put here anyway.
There are a lot of really cool treehouses that everyone has submitted. Now I wish I had a tree that I could build a cool treehouse in. -
@lizardillo This is great! What a clever idea.
-
@Melissa_Bailey So inventive!
