I never know what to draw...

The frame is crooked but oh well, itβs just a practice/personal piece...

Haha, the cape is lopsided. It should drape on the floor. Maybe elves wear wedge shaped capes as a fashion statement.

@chrisaakins I can do a list if you'd like. But I currently have many things I want to draw so I don't need this at the moment but as I said I can write up one for fun if you'd like?
-
@Heather-Boyd its alright. I'm just doing my list right now.

Here is R for ravens. They are one of my favorite birds.

I love this idea! Here is a "T for tornado slide".
If you're looking for more drawing ideas, I decided to do a drawing challenge this August... that I made up. It is called August of Inspiration https://www.instagram.com/augustofinspiration/
Now it is public, so I HAVE to do it!

Here is K foe Kestrel. I really love drawing animals, especially birds of prey.

@chrisaakins love all those prompts with the acronym. So cool!
-
@chrisaakins Clever Idea. I just made myself a list today because I was having the same problem.
-
@Jonathon-B-Baker-0 it has really helped motivate me to draw. I hope it helps you, too.

Here are a couple more...
And my favorite bird, the osprey

Just going to speak from my own experience, but I really like what you've done here, if it gets you drawing, go with it.
One of the things that has helped me out significantly when it comes to having those moments of not knowing what to do with that blank page in front of me was to just draw something that's in front of me. That chair, that stapler, those trees, one of our cats. Whatever, it's sometimes not the most exciting thing in the world, but that's not the point. The point is to start drawing, and to start to allow my mind to warm up and transfer over from my day to day into the mode of creating. This also happens to be a very good exercise as drawing from life is an outstanding form of practice and you will see a lot of improvement in your abilities from it.
Of course if you want to draw something more imaginative you may need a project or a propt list, or just start turning the things you see into creatures or something. I've kind of solved this by creating a very loose world in my mind that I can visit. It's simply just a forest, an extremely large forest filled with whatever my mind comes up with. The more I've done this the more little creatures, plants and even story ideas I find myself developing out of it. Will it go anywhere? I don't know. But it's fun.

@Blitz55 thats a really cool idea to create a world of ideas.
