AUGUST CONTEST: Dragonfly

Hey everyone!
This is my first time joining the forums and entering a contest, but what I really look forward to is getting to know the community and trying to get myself dedicated to what has one been my dream - to pursue a professional path in illustration. I have discovered SVS Learn podcasts just before the quarantine started, and in a way, this is what really helped me get through this year. I did put my instagram handle here as well, though I've literally just opened it up, so I will start with everything anew. I have been painting for years, but also had a good few years of a total hiatus... so I am participating now to make myself accountable, and also plan on subscribing to classes. I see a lot of amazing concepts here and am looking forward to learning from you all!

Its not finished but thats how far i came till the deadline. i will conitnue to work on it and update my thread with the newest versions. -

Getting this one in just in time. I kicked around a few ideas for this, and had two of them pretty far along. But, in my infinite wisdom, and with a bunch of other projects happening, I decided THIS PAST WEEKEND that I just had to do this other idea I had. It's actually kind of a "sequel" to my April 2020 entry with the prompt "Lisa's robot invention worked great, until it did this ...". (So, maybe the robot wasn't such a good idea, so she moved on to a mechanical dragonfly suit instead. What could possibly go wrong?)
