April WIP brings May.... Robots?

Can't say enough how awesome this is! The process, the result, the character design! Bravo, so so good.
-
This is amazing work! When I saw it in the april contest thread I couldn't work out how you made it I love everything about this piece!
-
This is fantastic! I also make sculptures sometimes and have been trying to put together illustrated 'scenes' like this (and giving up!). This is perfect, well done
-
@kylebeaudette oh man it was so tough putting it all together!! I essentially threw out my initial composition drawing haha. Keep going though!! It was SO worth it. A very rewarding experience. Post some of your sculptures! I would love to see them.
-
@eriberart & @natiwata thank you so much! I'm so glad you both enjoyed it
-
Maquettes, mostly. I've made a poseable version of me once, but usually just an immobile statue.
-
@kylebeaudette these are SO COOL!!!!!! I especially love the fox!!
Well done! You should definitely build some dioramas for them!
-
@EliaMurrayArt thanks! Maybe, I have all I need. I started last fall and got bummed when I realized all the learning I'd need to do
Good on you for doing it, cant wait to see more!!
-
@EliaMurrayArt Can I ask what camera and lense you use? Thanks so much for sharing your process!
-
@Zach-Roush I used the super fancy camera lens that came with my cell phone haha I wish I had a cooler answer but I am new to this.. I have no camera nor lenses...
-
@EliaMurrayArt this is fantastic, thank you for sharing this process! Itβs so fun to go through and Lisa is so alive in these shots!
It makes me wonder how your March entry would look transformed into a model like this
-
@Norman-Morana Haha that is so funny you should mention that. Originally I had wanted to do the March contest like this!!! I'd started the puppet and everything but then chickened out.
