@cellini I like it. The hand is facing away from the jar, and the thumb is quite large. Looking up some reference can help, or evenlooking at your hand in the mirror then adjusting the proportions to a childs hand.
If you rotate this little guys hand, it's pretty close to your piece. He might be a bit young though.
These two are good refs, forgive the guns. They are gun activist images concerning how children get access to firearms, but it was the best refs I found.
