Anyone using the Moft X tablet stand?
-
I work on an iPad (10-inch, not pro) with no great solution for standing it at an angle. I use a lapdesk that sits on top of my desk desk. It's not ideal.
I recently saw an add for the Moft X tablet stand and I'm curious if anyone here has tried it for drawing?

I recently backed a Kickstarter for this type of Tablet holder/stand. There is an option for 10.5" iPad model.

I, personally, use a rotating keyboard stand/cover specifically made for an iPad that I prop a piece of upholstery foam into to keep it at the angle I need.

@Coreyartus That's brilliant! I also have my iPad in a keyboard case so your foam solution would definitely work well for me too. Also nice rendering on that hand!

It looks like can be achieved by DIY. So there is only a foam that can change its position under the pad? By rolling the position of this foam to get to different angles?

@idid I just bought a round upholstery pillow foam piece, cut off a length that I needed, and then carved off part of the round-ness to give it a flat side. Then I put the flat side down so it won't go anywhere, and lean the tablet against it. It was pretty cheap. The swivel case itself was what was expensive, but it has a keyboard in it and it's hard so I thought it was a good purchase. I know other brands make them for the newer 2018+ iPads.
I can adjust the slope of the iPad surface slightly by moving the foam forward or backward behind the swivel stand , which decreases and increases the angle. It's not perfect, but it works for me. The pillow was long enough that I could cut several and leave one at home and one at work.
I've also have a pool noodle that I cut in half and sometimes use it instead, especially when I don't want the angle to be quite so vertical. Pool noodles are so long that I can make lots of them and leave them in all kinds of places so I don't have to remember to take anything with me. I have a couple at work, a couple at home, a couple in my car.

@Coreyartus Hmmm. The pool noodle might be an even better solution for me, to be honest. I don't think I want too steep an angle. Thanks for the tips!

@Coreyartus looks pretty cool! gonna try the pillow roller!

@Coreyartus pool noodle! I love it!
