Visual Storytelling Techniques Practice
-
I was watching one of @Lee-White's SVS videos on Visual Storytelling and I wanted to practice one of the techniques he mentioned to create a somewhat uninteresting scene and try to add an element of interest to it and up the storytelling. These are meant to be quick and dirty, to explore different concepts. So here are the three illustrations I created, These are WAY darker than I normally work so it is was a bit fun for me. Let me know what you think. Has anyone else tried this assignment out?

I had this bad habit in school called "not doing assignments", lol. Kudos to you for doing them!
The Visual Storytelling course was a good one. You're assignment reminded me that I need to go back and rewatch it.

Love it. I think I need to try this out.

@Charlie-Eve-Ryan Lee's course is packed full of great info. I've been going though it myself but haven't done all the assignments yet. These are great!

Thanks guys, it really is worth testing out the assignments. So much great information to explore and try out. If you do them share them here if you want, I'd love to see them.

@Charlie-Eve-Ryan Yes it is! Id love to work on that, I am so busy finishing up all the work... I think it has to wait till Januari
-
@Leontine I'm working on a dummy right now, but I try to fit them into my morning warm ups, quick and dirty just to get the concepts out etc.
-
@Charlie-Eve-Ryan good tip! half an hour practice, should be an achievable goal! Ill try and do that!

@Charlie-Eve-Ryan Nice job getting to these assignments! I have intended to do the same but just haven't yet. Lee's course was really interesting and well presented.
-
hehe that reminded me I need to continue doing my assignment too.

What if you tried putting the 2nd and third illustration together? I think it would say a lot more then.
