Self Publish on Amazon

Hey has anyone had success in the self publishing route using amazon? I'm getting a book ready for amazon just wondered if anyone else has done one and do you have any tips?

@Jason-Bowen I did self publishing with Amazon. Most if not all of my sales were through self promotion. Being the author you can get the books for all most cost. So what I did was sold them myself and if they bought it through me it would be signed by my son how wrote the story. I bought like 100 books and sold them all and had a good number of purchases off Amazon as well. After a few months of not pushing it on social media, all sales stopped. Once in awhile someone will stumble across and buy it.

I have self published all my coloring books on Amazon.

I've published several kids books on Amazon. But as @Chip-Valecek said, most of my sales come from self promotion and buying my books myself and then reselling them by hand.
