An Inktober inspired “Slowvember” piece
-
I had to stop inking before the end of Inktober because my pens ran dry and I live in the boonies. I was finally able to get to an art store this weekend but it’s already Slowvember so I did this sloth to bridge the two months. This isn’t for the contest (or even really for Slowvember though inking is sloooooow); it’s just for fun.

@demotlj this is amazing! You have amazing inking/hatching skills! This is definitely a style that you should consider mastering and making your expertise.

@nyrrylcadiz Thanks so much. I’m definitely going to keep exploring this. I’m very thankful to @Jake-Parker for Inktober because I hadn’t done any real inking before that so it’s been a new experience for me.

Speaking of inking, if anyone is in the Boston area from now until Jan, stop at the Museum of Fine Arts and check out their Winnie the Pooh exhibit. Once you crawl over all the kids looking at the toy related exhibits you can look at tons of E.H, Shepherd’s illustrations and sketches with explanations about his process. It’s a really great exhibit and part of what inspired me to try my hand at more ink work.
