Color Consistency Help Needed

Hi ALL! I am working on a book at the moment and am struggling with the grand color scheme for the project as a whole. Does anyone have any tips on color consistency to harmonize the totality of a book?? I don’t like being locked into I guess you could call it a color template having to apply it to everything. Do I need to keep the same dominant color scheme? Any tips would be much appreciated. Is it wrong to go off from super bright on one spread to say a dark colored spread pages later? Or cool color one page to warm on another? Any tips?? Thank you!

@tyson-ranes Hey Tyson - not sure if this applies but I know that in the animated film industry they do a "color script" - these are the color keys for important scenes put together on a story board - the colors flow from one to another or not depending on the psychology of the scene - I have not done this myself but have thought it would be good to plan a book in the same way - you could also look up "color scripting" if this sounds interesting but here is a link to one
