Eldritch and Whimsy Inktober 2017

I am not a fan of Autumn. I am definitely an adamant summer-lover. I love heat, I love sun, I love long days and ice-cream aplenty and cold brewskis on the terrace or by the river. I am also deeply solar-powered, so the grey and rainy skies of Autumn tend to push me to run on fumes. But I want to change that. Autumn, despite its faults, is a time of hot cocoa, tasty teas, scented candles, fluffy sweaters and golden forests and parks. Despite the chill, the rain, the shortening days, it still holds nice stuff in it and I am training myself to focus on these good things instead of them dreadful things.

And for me Autumn starts with Inktober. This is the third one I am going to participate in and in fact already started. This time I decided to breach out from my comfort zone… At least a bit! I still want to draw spooky, scary monsters, the delightful eldritch abominations and cosmic horror. Drawing and painting this stuff soothes me and it’s a neat niche that I feel strong at. But just to expand and learn I also want to try drawing cute stuff, charming and neat, in style of great Chris Ryniak, who is great and drawing critters that are both cute and spooky. So, this Inktober calendar will be alternating Between Cute and Scary.

Since it's pretty much a couple days left in the challenge, I'll post all current works here and then keep it updated day after day
