Character Design
-
I think I should do some character designs for my website, and for this project I don't want them to feel like they are finished painting but more like sketchy feel. What do you think? Tips always appreciated.
I started off with Red as one of my favorites lol

Lovely 1 and 4 have really strong silhouettes. I really like them!

Oh i live the animal theme nice going. Quite a charming drawing.
-

-
Like the style. Is that watercolor or digital watercolor?
-
These are so good, I just love your work!!!
-
Thank you guys really appreciate! and @Jonathon-B it's digital watercolor.
-
So cute!
-
My take on Dracula. I don't think I did this creature before.
-
Hey thats really good, nice take on him. Maybe you can put him into a scene.
-
Wow that really looks like real watercolor. What program are you using?
-
I love the foxes! I'm have an affinity for them to begin with, and i love your take on them. The vampire is great! they look full of life, and i believe you have accomplished the "not finished" feel you were looking for, or like Jake and Will say, finished, not perfect They are all wonderful!

@Lynn-Larson, Thank you so much Lynn, this helps me to keep going on this project ( have always wondered if I should approach something like that and have it in my portfolio).
@Jonathon-B, Thanks Jonathon, I use Photoshop for this effect. -
Cool. I'm gonna look into that. Thanks

This is can be a bit creepy when it comes to monster I turn to my dark side a bit XD
-
haha, great stuff, you do have a talent for drawing creep stuff.
-
I love these! Very cool to see two very different characters. I am wondering... is that a "sketch mark" or a "scratch mark" on the last Little Red Wolf? To me, it looks like he got hurt, which works with his posture and facial expression!
Keep it up!
-
@Carey-Bowden, it's a scratch mark and yes little red did get hurt from fighting with the giant pig sorry the pig tried to eat red lol
-
@Naroth-Kean Now you have to illustrate that story - too cool! (I'm picturing a giant pig-boar)
Oh, and now I can see the last image (didn't show up before, weird) nice creepiness! Have you seen the illustrations for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark? For some reason, your first witch with the skull bird brought that to mind.

No I have not seen it, i'm going to check it out! thanks
