Treehouse WIP

Hello Everyone!
I am loving all of your Treehouse illustrations! I thought I'll join you this month.I would like your feedback on my composition. The story here, Caleb finds a fairy treehouse trapped in a glass jar.
-
@Doha Thats a great idea. The only thing I see is his eye seem to be looking in different directions, Probably because of where you have the highlight, but that should be a quick fix.
-
@Doha Nice concept Doha, it could be great if you focus in the fishbowl, and let the boy in the darkness, like if the fishbowl is glowing in blue or green light.
Left hand 3 fingers? -
Make the kid evil
-
@rcartwright Great Idea! Thanks!
@Jose-Ramos lol! I erase his fingers by mistake. Love you light suggestion, I'll try it. Thank you.
@Chip-Valecek Thanks, I'll fix that. -
I started this as a spot illustration, but I think I might make it a full page.
What do you think about these two options?
@rcartwright is he evil enough?Option 1-
Option 2-
-
I like that, on my list of things to paint is a snow globe with Santa and Frosty trapped by the frost king as he looks into it, so when I saw this I thought of that concept.
-
I would offset the glass and the boy in opposite directions, and orient the boy as if he is looking around the glass—head tilted—toward the front of the treehouse, maybe with his right hand on the glass, just above where the curve starts, as if cradling it as his evil plan unfolds in his devious mind.
-
@rcartwright Ha! that's a great idea. an evil one too! I look forward to see it.

@tombarrettillo Thank you, Tom! I'll try your suggestions.
