Howdy! We love mermaids around here, and since it's MerMay, we thought it might be fun to do a little contest 
Post your best mermaid in this thread, and at the end of the month, we'll select a winner. 1st place gets an SVS tshirt, and your image splashed across our social media. We may do a collage or something of all the mermaids, so only submit if you are OK with it being posted (we'll give you credit of course!). OK, any questions? Let's do this!

Here is a Scifi Mermaid I did for MerMay in my Sketchbook; digital version to come.
I still have to work out her back story, I think I could have a lot of fun exploring mermaids in space. I already have another idea for a Whale like Guardian.

@Lee-White well I been meaning to do a mermaid piece all month. I got the idea already in my mind, now just need to do it. I think the challenge with a pay off will motivate me to find some spear time to work on something personal. I like the idea of a new monthly challenge.

Decided to try a salty old lady mermaid. I've never seen one before. I wanted it to look old and crusty. She's worn a place in the rock over the years
