New piece/ learning to create watercolor textures on Procreate
-
Still learning how to create a good watercolor texture digitally, and since I do not use photoshop it has been a bit difficult. Thankfully with some research I am starting to get there (I mean, I just figure out I could download brushes from other people)
Anywho. This is a new piece. I want to do it traditionally, and am merely trying to mess with color combinations. Any thoughts on this one?

I really love the figures and colour palette on this. The green reminds me of the colour of a seafoam green fender stratocaster Nice composition as well - appears to be pretty close to the golden ratio?
Texture would convince me it was a watercolour if I didn't know otherwise...

Looks great!

It is definitely reading as a watercolor! Nicely done! And adorable too hehe

@Eric-Castleman I like the simplicity of your shapes and colors, it gives it a cool feel. What brushes were they? I def want to mess around with these textures they have always been very appealing to me. Cool piece.

@Tyson-Ranes here is the video I watched that linked the brushes, as well as the watercolor paper scan. https://youtu.be/upARsyc6d88

It looks awesome. I think it's really the texture of the paper doing the work of giving that watercolour illusion. The seafoam kind of tone is giving it away for me, somewhat. I would reduce the opacity a wee bit, to give the impression of translucence. It would also help it to read a little better as there wouldn't be competition between the values (which is only very slight) but I think it would help.
