I'm on this journey now to find and research art directors for my mailing list. So far I have 15! Haha! I keep reading about how illustrators will send 100 - 200 postcards per quarter. My goal is to just get 30 right now. I already went through the contact list from Illustration Age. Now I'm using google and linkedin to match up publishers with current art directors. Are there any other resources?

My other question is who do I send a postcard to if they list a Creative Director (oversees Art Directors), a Senior Art Director and an Associate Art Director?

I'm assuming that you are looking to reach out into the children's publishing market (as opposed to AD's in the advertising or other entertainment or corporate industries).

If so, then I think you are probably looking for this (it comes out yearly):

Also, @Lee-White does a great job talking about this and other illustration business issues in his courses "HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN ILLUSTRATION" :

          Part 1
          Part 2

I think—if I remember correctly—that he discusses marketing/mailers in part 2, but I may be mistaken. (Seems correct with a quick look of the 4th section of part 2)

Thanks for the book tip! I downloaded it and it also contains advice on further reading so it's been helpful.
