New Student- How to Draw Anything
-
Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am a new student starting from the very beginning! I just finished How to Draw Anything, and my last assignment is to post my before and after of a house. I'm not going to lie, posting anything makes me uncomfortable at this point, but I've got to start somewhere and this forum seems a lot less scary than regular social media at this point! Anyway...Here are my houses! My perspective still needs some work...as well as detail and line work, but I can see progress just from this class! I'm excited to move on to the next class! I'm sure I will see you all again soon!

@Jennifer-Fletcher Welcome! I can see your progress, too - the windows on the right side look like they are "following" the plane of the wall better.

@jenn Thank you so much! I have a long way to go but I'm off to the races...I've started Basic Perspective so hopefully that will help me shore up some of that...I need to spend more time sketching I think. But thank you for your comment!

Welcome, Jennifer! I can definitely see your progress too, you should be proud!

@menalkhan Thank you! I took a look at your portfolio a day or two ago and it is very inspiring! I appreciate your words of encouragement

Great work, Jennifer! It can totally feel scary to post work. This is a great environment to start sharing your work and ask for helpful feedback. I can see you are thinking more in 3D space in your second drawing of a house. Feel free to message or email me (austin@svslearn.com) if you have any questions!

@AustinShurtliff Thank you! I appreciate an open offer for feedback It is hard posting when you are a baby illustrator like I am , but I'm working on conquering the fear! There is a lot to take in and learn here, but I appreciate knowing I have somewhere to turn when I need advice on my art!
