Be wary of any agent that generates income directly from the illustrators they represent. If they are paying their bills from fees charged to their clients rather than from projects they generate for their clients the incentive the agent has to find and negotiate projects diminishes.That said, I could see unique exceptions to this. A special promotion for instance. Especially if that promotion is a direct request/demand from the illustrator.
But as a matter of standard business practice - no.
