Basic Perspective Final Assignment
-
Hi, all. Posting my perspective drawing here. Not looking for specific critique, but I'm happy to hear what went wrong. I'm pretty sure I should have something if the dresser or bookcase showing, but it felt like that would make it seem like the camera was behind those objects?
I also think my vanishing points should be farther away, but it was tough working by hand with a regular ruler.
Mostly I'm just posting to get over the hump of sharing something. (Just joined the forums!) This was a real mind-bender for me, and I'm proud to have finished something.
TIA

that's pretty good for your first attempt at perspective
To understand perspective is indeed mind-bender! -
@whittlingprof I'm new to the forums too- welcome! And I'm right in the middle of this exact class... oh wow it's super mind-bending! Your drawing looks good to me. I think we just have to practice a lot, and eventually we'll be able to draw in perspective without wanting to throw the paper out the window! Thanks for sharing

@whittlingprof Great job!
-
Thanks! Definitely a long road ahead. I'm starting basically at "doodler" level.
-
For sure! I know it takes lots of practice, and that was backed up by the number of times David said, "That doesn't look quite right... That's better." during the class.
-
Thanks! And thanks for the great class. Learned a ton!
