Hello from Sunny SoCal...
-
I joined SVSlearn a couple days ago.. have gone thru a lesson and I'm poking around trying to get use to things ATM. One of the things I read asked me to introduce myself.. so, here I am. I'm 53, married and a couple years ago decided to see what I could do with my art. Not doing to bad so far. I've sold more than a few pieces at local art fairs and online.
I've always done something creative. I have been drawing and painting since I can remember. I'm the kid that saved her allowance for books and art supplies. I'm on IG, and the socials (not as much as I should) and I'm a twitch streamer.
I decided to take the jump and do SVS upon recommendation from a friend who swears by it because I want to refresh my skills and fill in some holes. Back in the day (pre-computers) I took art in HS and college.
I look forward to getting to know you!

@KellyMaldonadoArt welcome! I have left art since high school and only just returned to it at 37, but I love this place to get me through all my doubts and struggles. Love to see your work. Tried to check out your website, but it didn't want to load.

@KellyMaldonadoArt Welcome to the forum Kelly! Glad you joined. SVS is the best! I’ve learned so much since I’ve been here, even hough I’ve been going at a slow pace. Still have kiddos to take care of. But, I like to log in when I can

Ahh you are all so nice!! Thank you so much! I'm on my 3rd lesson and having so much fun!
I am a traditional artist (pen, ink, watercolor, acrylic, etc) but in order to level up my digital skills i'm going to mostly focus on doing digital. There are things I can def do with a pencil I cannot do with an apple pen. My go to is procreate but I also use Photoshop and just got Fresco to play with. Someday I will get a big girl tablet but for now my ipad works
I'm sharing my silly ball of cheese.. it's still a WIP but better digitally than most of what I've done. I do run a dental office by day but the office is getting ready to close next year so it's winding down. Hoping to be in a position to make the jump to art in some form full time. So most work is done Fri-Mon and evenings.
